One month after the move...

So here I am sitting on my lanai enjoying a breeze and a beautiful view of the mountains and it's really hard to believe that a month ago I was in Atlanta with the temperature being almost 50 degrees colder! The weather in Hawaii is incredible and stays at a constant 80-85 degrees!
.
Mitch and Ryan moved two weeks before I did because Mitch started work on the 1st of February and I wanted to work a little bit more and on a more selfish bit, I wanted to party more and there were alot of birthdays and celebrations to be had. I knew that it was going to be a long time (if ever) that I would see my friends again so I needed to get it out of my system!
.
Now before I get ahead of myself, I have to recap (Did I just say recap? As if I'm on a reality tv show....) the goodbye party that my often time estranged friend, Liz, threw at Lynx for Mitch & I! Before we became entirely intoxicated at Lynx, we went and ate Kalbi with "a hundred of my closest friends" at this Korean restaurant w/ Karleen & Jeanelle, (two of the most sincere and kind hearted girls I know) Hanna & Meena, (Who I know from waaaaaay back before we all discovered hair straighteners and fashion) Suzanne, (Who I folded many a shirt w/ at the very chic and high-fashion boutique, GAP) and all of their boyfriends. I swear, Karleen & Jeanelle are such amazingly, sweet people. Don't get me wrong, Karleen will cut a bitch in a heartbeat, but they both always goes out of their way to keep Mitch and I comfortable and having a great time! I love you both! (You better be reading this or BELIEVE ME, I will edit you out of the whole post) And Van came a little bit later, but not as late as..... REBECCA who gets the ''LATER THAN FASHIONABLE" award!
.
Before this gets too long, let me go ahead and skip to the good part. We get to Lynx and Liz is there in the VIP area waiting for us w/ Patron in tow! I love Liz and must take a million pictures with her because she's my overflowing harajuku love orgasm in brilliant fashionista form! We take pictures till our batteries die and then go to the bar and take shots! Everything after this point is a blur to me and I only recall what happened by what everyone tells me. Don't judge me. There's much more to this story, but to sum it all up, I had the best time and I couldn't have asked for a better last hurrah and I miss all of you terribly and expect the next time I see you to be at the Honolulu aiport when you come to visit me!
.
The next celebration was Eri's birthday... which was also my last day at work! So to celebrate my last day, Nina, Van and I went to the Cumberland Changs to visit Haley and to pregame before Eri's dinner! One thing about Haleys drinks is that they are so good and will instantly give you drunk face!" By the time I got to Eri's dinner I was completely gone and don't even remember what I ate! Nini was there and I was so happy to see her even though we never get to see each other! My ladybug Ni! And my BFFN (Best Friend For Now...) Val came w/ her bf, Alex and I do remember that because I have pictures on top of pictures of them to remind me! Eri was lookin' hot and we planned to hit the club, but our plans changed because on the way out, Nina and I had a altercation with her car and a pole. and sadly, the pole won. So that was a major buzz kill...
.
Next up was Haley's birthday and that was insane too! Once again, Nina, Van and I were pregaming and met up with Allie & Sante at Opera and coincidentally enough, Haley & crew got there are the same time, which was perfect because we needed Haley to get in free! So we're all drunk in line and Haley's in front of me and I'm talking and laughing and turn around to give the bouncer my ID and he says "Cover is $20" and I say with all the confidence in the world, "We're with her!" and bouncer says "Who?" and I look up the stairs to the entrance and there's nobody there! Haley had already gone in and I just looked crazy. So $20 later, we get in and the place was huge! We get some shots in us and were having a great time and a couple hours later we realized that everybody was gone! So we make our way out because apparently, I was deathly hungry and needed food!!! So tell me why when we get in the car the only thing I want to do is go home? Heh Heh... sorry guys!
.
Despite all the partying and drunken beligerance... I wasn't just doing that... I also had the whole apartment to pack and throw away and that was definitely a bigger job than I expected! Luckily my family threw me a goodbye dinner the night before I left and after that came over and helped me throw everything away! And the next day, my sister Amy came over and helped with whatever was left and took me to the airport and we had a very emotional goodbye hug... it wasn't an all out tear fest, but it was more like me standing in line with tears welled up in my eyes while my sister is waiting along side the lines with tears welled up in her eyes. And then I waved goodbye to her and at that moment, my girl Marjorie called my phone to say goodbye and I didn't dare answer it! I couldn't even get through the whole message because just half way through it the tears started coming again and not that I'm against crying, but I prefer to do it when I'm not surrounded by strangers complaining that the line is too slow.
.
The flight to Hawaii was not too bad, except that I got stuck in the same vecinity as a group of annoying high schoolers on some sports trip. The girl next to me kept saying she wanted to sit by the window seat, which I luxuriously had and I had to hurry and put on my Ipod before she asked me to switch because I knew if she did I would have yelled "NO!" and punched her in her left boob and that would just make for an uncomfortabel 13 hour flight, don't you think?
.
I slept the whole way over and arrived in Honolulu and to my dissappointment, did not receive a lei! I didn't get one last time I came to Hawaii either, but this time it was because all the stores were closed. Mitch and Ryan were there to pick me up and took me to my new home! It's a simple 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment and I love my first home in Hawaii!
.
I do plan to update this blog regularly because I always have so much nonsense in my head that I need to release it through my fingertips for all of you to enjoy! Or endure....
.
Aloha!!!
