Ten days into December and it feels like SO much is going on, which is such a contrast to the past two weeks where it feels like I've been doing absolutely nothing!
Mitch went to Maui a week before Thanksgiving to open up a couple of stores for Verizon and then came back for Thanksgiving, only to leave the next morning for another two weeks! So it's been almost three weeks of him being away, but it felt like forever! Of course we text constantly and talk everyday, but it's just not the same. I totally feel the lyrics to Avril Lavigne's song "When You're Gone" where she says
"...and the days feel like years when I'm alone... and the bed where you lie is made up on your side...."
But he gets back in two days! So the monotony of working everyday will be broken! I've been working everyday since he's been gone except for one off day... usually i love off days, but might as well try to make some money instead of just spending. Plus the weather has been pretty lame here these days. Believe it or not, it actually feels like winter here! Well... not winter, but I thought that it would feel the same as summer here, but you can definitely feel the change of climate. You can still go to the beach in the daytime, but at night you can maybe get away with wearing a hoodie! Hawaii is definitely my tropical paradise!
Onto some more exciting news, my brother called me the other day and asked if I could get some time off from work to go back home to Atlanta for Christmas and if I could they would buy me a ticket to go out there! At first I didn't want to get my hopes up because work was pretty strict about asking for time off asap in advance, but I sent out a message to my managers and got the okay so I booked the flight and will be back in the "A" by the 22nd! It's my sister Miko's 50th birthday on the 23rd so that's another reason they wanted me to come to surprise her! I'm so excited to go back, but it's a bit bittersweet because Mitch is JUST getting home and then off I go and I feel horrible because he will be alone for Christmas, but he says he is going to our friend, Rajah's house for dinner so that's sweet!
I'm so excited to see everyone and getting to eat everything that I've been missing and going to Target! I'm gonna come back broke and fat, but oh so happy! I have to find a really good present for Miko since it's her 50th so the pressures on! But I'll procrastinate a little longer because I have to get ready to go get some PHO with Sasha!
I leave you with three videos!
The first one is a SNL digital short music video entitled "J*zz In My Pants" ft. cameos by Molly Sims, Jamie Lynn Sigler and Justin Timberlake! Reminds me of Melody's ex-bf who was a one minute man and every time they would start to have sex he would j*zz and scream out in pleasure and embarrassment "IIIIII'MMMMMM SOOOOOORRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ha ha ha ha ha
Next up is a video less perverted (unless you're into this kinda stuff... ew.) and this video is pure comedic relief! I don't care if your hair is falling out or you just got word that you're pregnant with twin dalmations... you will laugh your balls off!
And on a more inspirational note... this is Leona Lewis' performance on X-Factor of her latest release "RUN" a cover she did of Snow Patrol's original. Leona Lewis took this song and made it infinitely better! And this performance is amazing!

Almost Christmas...
November is almost over and guess where I just came from! The beach! Ahhhh..... so good to live in Hawaii!
Mitch has been in Maui for almost a week now and it is driving me crazy! He went over last week to open up three stores for Verizon and has been over there with the big wigs having a good ol' time despite being away from home... but I'm so proud of him for working so hard and getting ahead in the company. He comes home tomorrow, but unfortunately has to go back on Friday for two weeks! Apparently they'll be staying in a bomb condo and it's like the ones you see on the Real World! So jealous! Since he's been gone I've just been working everyday and making lots of money for Christmas! Tomorrow will be my 12th day in a row at work, but that's completely okay with me! Especially since I have Thanksgiving off! Waikiki never closes so we're gonna be open for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, etc. We're obligated to work two out of those threes days so I'll probably be scheduled for Christmas and New Years Eve, but I'll definitely be releasing those shifts, manipulating HotSchedules and paying if I have to just to have those days off!
It's gonna be so weird to not be home for the holidays, but I kind of want to be in Hawaii for my first Christmas here! I think it will be so cool to wake up Christmas morning to the warm sun! It's also my sister's 50th birthday and I would really love to be there for it, but I'll just have to deal with it I guess. As long as I'm here with Mitch & Levi then I will be happy!
I really am starting to wonder why I drink so much when I go out... I just don't stop until I'm completely done. Not that I'm slumped over in a corner choking on my own vomit, but more like I don't remember things and wake up in the morning with an insane hangover that takes all day to cure... I went out the other night to Three Nine Hotel for their monthly Fruit Fly event and Sy and his friend Dana picked me up and I had been drinking my concoction of Mandarin Vodka w/ Gatorade so I was pretty buzzed by the time I got there... then i met up with my new favorite, Rajah, who was there for his friends birthday and while there I had a couple of vodka/crans and some Jager Bombs and then we decided to go back to Waikiki and go to Fusions.
So real quick... this is my version of what happened when I woke up the next morning... I remember going to Three Nine Hotel and then after we got to Fusions I decided not to go in so I just went home and went to sleep like a good boy. This was my reality UNTIL I looked at my wrist and saw the huge F stamp on my wrist meaning clearly I went to Fusions that night. How could I not remember that whole part of my night? Not only that, but I remember spending all my cash at Three Nine so how did I pay to get into Fusions? And to make matters more confusing... I found $15 in my pocket! Did I make money that night? So many questions needing answers... but all in all I just need to stop drinking so much.
I'm still gonna be an alky, but maybe just a baby alky and not a full blown alky! So since then I have gone on an all vegetable/fruit/seafood/chicken diet and have stopped drinking soda... I feel like cutting red meats out of my diet will make me feel alot better. I ALMOST went on the Lemon/Cayenne Pepper/Maple Syrup/Water diet, but Mitch said it wasn't good for me and we could find a better method at the store. Plus I didn't find alot of persuasive reviews so I'll just switch up my diet for a while and see how that goes. It's been 5 days and I've only cheated a little bit (taco bell after beach today... i'm so weak!) and I do feel overall healthier!
I have to hurry and make a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner before everything gets booked! A little less traditional eating out for Thanksgiving, but living without a kitchen doesn't leave me much options... Gobble! Gobble!

You can take the boy outta Atlanta...
But you can't take Atlanta outta the boy! That was all too true this past Halloween!
So the night started out great and we got a hotel and had everyone over! Keala & I made hunch punch and took everything over to the hotel and started getting ready. Matt was already over there so we all started drinking and getting ready and one by one, everyone started coming over and the party got started! Pictures were taken, shots were taken, pictures of shots being taken were taken... and then we hit the strip!
Kalakaua was crazier than I've ever seen! We could barely walk down the street because ppl were everywhere and dressed up as anything and everything! It was awesome to see everyone in the Halloween spirit! I've never seen anything like it and I've been looking forward to H-ween ever since I moved out here because I heard it's crazy and I was not disappointed!
Of course we had to stop by Changs and have some drinks! Everyone was dressed up so on top of being drunk, it was a pretty surreal sighting! So... after a cpl of mai tais, we cut outta Changs and after this point... Atlanta E revealed his evil face with a vengeance! But only because he is genuinely caring and when he sees wrong, he don't let shit fly! But... you can decide for yourself.
So after leaving Changs, Keala was DONE. Hunched over sitting on the sidewalk looking like she's seconds from passing out... so I told Kapu, who is Keala's best friend, that she should take Keala back to the hotel and Kapu just wasn't caring. Now Keala and Kapu aren't just best friends, they've known each other forever and are almost lovers... so why can't she be bothered to help her friend in need? Now I know I'm sounding all level headed here... but believe me, level headed was the furthest thing from my character that night. I went OFF on Kapu telling her to take care of her best friend and that she needed to get her fat ass UP and do something because Keala would do the same for her! Kapu was being all defensive and not trying to take care of nobody and that really pissed me off... PLUS Kapu doesn't drink so it's not like she was too drunk. I don't know if it was because she was with her boyfriend... or maybe she had one too many VIRGIN, NONALCOHOLIC smoothies, but she needs to get her act together and help a sister out. Ya heard? So... whatever, my actions are by no means justifiable, but I just know that Keala does anything for that girl and she couldn't be bothered to return the favor. Whattabitch. So Atlanta E told Kapu that if she wasn't gonna help her out then he would make her and stormed off with entourage in tow... leaving Kapu with no choice but to act like a real friend.

So that pretty much turned the night to the dark side for me and the rest is history, but all in all I had a great night and yes, the dirty south came out, but it didn't stop me from having a good time and I had a great night!
But on a real tip, I do love Kapu. I think she's a really good person, but with a slightly evil side. Not like an ax murderer side or anything, more like a sour patch kid.... so the next day I did apologize to her, but the next time I saw her at work we didn't talk. It is what it is, but come to find out, Kapu told Keala that the only reason I wanted her to take care of Keala was so that Keala didn't ruin my night. She is really trippin' now... the only thing I had on my mind that night was having fun w/ my besties by my side and I sure did have Mitch, Dominique and Marque there. Not to say that Keala isn't one of my besties because she definitely is, but knowing that Kapu is there I felt assured that she would take care of Keala, but apparently Kapu was annoyed that Keala was drinking and too drunk to function and now she says she won't hang with Keala when she drinks. Wow... good friend there. Through thick and thin, right? NOT! Realize who your friends are and ditch the bitch. But being that I was the person who acted outta line I just told Keala to be a good friend to Kapu and to treat her nice because she's a baby and she needs her diaper changed. I'm such a good person.
So that's my big H-ween update... and here's the pictures I promised!

E, Kapu & Keala --- before the storm!

Mitch & Sasha --- she is our adorable muse!

Dominique, E & Mitch ---- What more could you ask for?

Mitch & Minions!

Mitch & Sasha again --- They would make pretty babies!

Dom & E --- minutes before ATL E arrived!

Count Mitch & Nurse Bucket!

May-Ling, Tiffany, Becca & Leilani!

Paris for President!
So however ludicrous the idea of Paris being president might be, it's almost not as crazy as Sarah Palin being VP! And in some twisted way, I almost want Paris for president! LOL Mostly because she does have the interests of the young people at heart, unlike McCain's moldy ass. I usually try to stay away from politics as much as possible, but this years election is actually entertaining! We'll see how everything turns out and hopefully it won't be the end of the world!
Anyways, back to my world. Mitch went back to Macon for the first time since we moved out here and it was the longest 5 days ever! But now he's back and the rest of this month is gonna be killer! His birthday is this Thursday and we plan to go to Todai, a seafood/sushi buffet! And then Friday is HALLOWEEN!!! I'm gonna be a toy soldier and Mitch is gonna be a vampire! I have a couple more things to pick up for my outfit, but I'm so excited because I've never done H-ween in Hawaii and I hear it's out of this world!
Definitely will be posting mad pics asap!

Koda Kumi - TABOO
Ok so this post is slightly directed towards Poopsie! The new video from Koda Kumi entitled "TABOO" You have much catching up to do! DOOMS And A DOOMS!!!

On a more grotesque note... what's the deal w/ Clay Gay-ken being all up in the media these days for coming out? First of all... he's a HAS-BEEN! As in... hasn't released a single or album in years and has gone where all artists go after their 15 minutes of fame is expired... Broadway. So why is he getting so much attention for coming out after all these years? If anything, the media should gear towards him being a LIAR all these years. It's not even that he was scared to come out and he refused to talk about his personal life, but this homo straight up lied and claimed that he was all about the women and that he was trying to find the right "girl." Maybe what he meant was that he was just trying to find the right girl, as in HEY GIRRRLLLLLLLL! He claims he felt the need to come out because he didn't want to raise his child to be a liar... I hope that Gay-ken saves that $500,000 he got for the cover of PEOPLE MAGAZINE because that child is gonna need it for some much needed time on the couch. How could you NOT need therapy if THAT was your father?
And I understand the need for privacy in your personal life and not wanting to be tagged as the gay one, but Ricky Martin did it and never lied about banging chicks... he never claimed to be straight or gay. You know why? Because he is a class-act-'mo. That's why. I just hope Gay-ken gets as little media coverage as possible because I can't stand to see his Raggedy-Andy face much longer.... Mahalo.

Keala's 21st!!!
I feel like I love having something to look forward to. Even though I despise having to wait for things, I love having something fun and exciting to look anticipate. I have been anticipating Keala's birthday for so long (Okay... two weeks tops) that by the time it finally came around I felt like it was MY birthday! But this one was especially important because Keala is such a sweet, genuine girl and someone I really consider a friend. Finally she's 21 and we can cruise all around town and get into more trouble than we already do!
So to start off, everyone was supposed to meet up around 8pm or so and maybe do dinner or karaoke and then hit a bar for pregaming and THEN go to Level 4. Of course, EVERYONE was late and it wasn't until 11pm that we all met up. Mitch & I hit the Waikiki Hoolaulea festival and it was pretty crowded, but alot of fun and alot of good food! After that we hit up Changs (of course) for some drinks and then Mitch retired for the night and I met up w/ everyone and we actually had a nice, drama free celebration!

Where Do I Begin...
I've been putting off this update for a while now because there's so much to tell...
We finally moved to Waikiki and I have been loving every minute of it! The apt is a studio so it is a bit smaller, but it's definitely worth it. The first night we were here, my car got hit by a delivery truck in the parking lot since we live right next to Food Pantry, but luckily the damage was minimal and they stuck around to give us their ins info... and there's always alot of noise and drunk ppl on the streets, but I'm guessing that comes with the territory. But it's amazing to be able to just walk to and from work and to stumble home from the bars and not having to worry about driving home! And now Mitch sold his car and uses mine so I don't drive anywhere and don't have to worry about anything!
Work has been going well too. I have been making good money and haven't gotten fired yet so all's well in the Changs so far. I feel like I've been going out a little bit too much, but then again, what's new? Everything is in walking distance so it tends to be calling my name at all times! Oddly enough, I don't go to the beach as much as I thought I would, so the other day we had a work meeting at 8am and then after that I went to the Ala Moana Beach w/ my girl Keala and then went to the Waikiki Beach w/ Marque and Rocky and then since Rocky's bf, Michael, works at Hulas we went and had a few drinks there before work. It started out innocently enough, but one drink quickly became two and then then Michael threw us a cpl of shots and before we knew it we were running around Waikiki trying to get to work outta our minds! So I had my first drunken night at work (which used to be the only way to get through the night @ Changs in Atlanta) and I made it through, but by the end of the night I was so tired and my face was tomato red from beachin' it all day!
For a while I was really scared to walk home after work at night because since I've been in Hawaii, three of my friends have gotten jumped for one reason or another and I feel like Waikiki is the new Harlem...
The first one to get jumped was this gay guy, Ricardo, or as I call him, Retardo, who everyone liked at work, but I just thought he was a greasy crackhead. I heard alot of stories about what happened... one was that he got jumped by three military guys, the other that he got jumped by a pack of trannies and a couple other stories but I'm not sure what really happened... but after that incident he flew back home claiming that he'd be back. I'm not even sure why he would want to come back because he had been sleeping on the beach and living homeless for the last months that he was here and why would anyone want to come back to that? Hawaii or not...
The second one was my girl, Melissa... A bunch of us went to this new club called LEVEL 4 and when we got there the line was insanely long so Mel went to the bouncer, did her thing and got us in, but not everyone else... we were both crazy drunk so the night was a blur, but the Jabawakkis were performing so we watched the show and after it was over we got separated and I figured she met up w/ everyone else so my ass stumbled, but apparently somebody knocked Melissa out because she woke up at 5 in the morning under the bleachers w/ a concussion! Again, I wasn't there so I don't know what the real story is, but the whole story sounds a little shady... either way I didn't hang out w/ her again before she left back to NY... she'll be back in September so we'll see....
And lastly was my girl Camille who's bf got jumped when he was smoking a cigarette right in front of Senor Frogs, which is a very pubic corner, but he got jumped by some military guys and when she tried to stop them they hit her in the face and she had a HUGE bruise on her face...
So all of this craziness has led me to believe that Waikiki is the new Harlem and for a while there I was scared to walk home and so I saved up to get a moped, but now I'm not so scared and I don't think I need one, but maybe I'll get one just so I can go to different beaches and get around faster... but just by living down here and seeing how harmless it is I feel more at ease with Waiks...
And just in time because Mitch & I officially have our first visitors! Antoine & Phoenix got here Friday to celebrate his birthday! I'm so happy they're here and they are in paradise and loving everything here! The first night they were here we went to Da Big Kahuna for a cpl of fishbowls and went to the beach at night and then the next morning we went to Smorgy's for some breakfast buffet and we were supposed to go to Roy's for his birthday dinner, but things got a bit crazy!
Marque & I got tickets for the Hula's Catamaran Cruise w/ Rocky and so we headed to Hula's after getting Antoine some Sunglasses from AX, which I hope he likes, and we got to Hula's and Michael was bartending and he made us a cpl of shots and some Mai Tais and got us feelin' good! Rocky showed up fashionably late and we took some more shots and went to load up at the beach and, of course, got another round of tequila shots before loading and then got on and it was sooo fun! The weather was perfect and everybody was tipsyyy~

After the cruise we all went to Tapas and had some food & drinks there and ended up at some guy's place in Hawaii Kai and it was an amazing house! Complete w/ a motor boat, dock, jacuzzi, etc! And they had grilled up a feast and had a whole bar... it was insane! By the end of the night we were all pretty tired, but I had the best time! Rocky & Michael are the nicest ppl~ AND they've been together for 7 yrs making them the only gay cpl I know who have a longer relationship than Mitch & I! But I really like them and it's respectable to see ppl who are so genuine.
I have been in bed all day watching The Hills marathon and just being a bum... Mitch is about to get off work and we are going to go to Roy's and maybe to a club later so I'm definitely going to need a redbull or two... and tomorrow we're going to a luau!
I really need to start updating this blog more often so that I don't have to do gargantuan posts like this!
Mahalo!

A Massive Update....
I can't believe that it's already almost July! The year is half way over already! Where did it go?! It's been quite a year so far and I know that it's not gonna be slowin' down any time soon, but fortunately, things seem to be looking up and this post will be on the positive tip!
The biggest news of the moment is that we finally got our apt in Waikiki!!! I never updated on the situation with NR, but since my last rant about him, things have calmed down and we've been able to see each others perspectives, BUT it's almost impossible to find a resolution with someone who is so irrational. NR is such an emotional rollercoaster that it's hard to deal with him. He finally came to an understanding that he can't do everything with us every moment and we came to the understanding that he's out here all by himself and that we need to be more considerate, but I guess by trying to show him that he needs to be more independent and make some friends we shut him out and I guess tough love doesn't really work with him. After the whole reconciliation thing, I thought things would get better, which they did, but not completely. NR when he is sober is slightly rational... when he is a little tipsy he is slightly entertaining.... and when he is full on, dead ass drunk he is a creepy, emotionally unstable ticking timebomb! Tick, Tick... BOOM! A typical night with NR and Mitch drinking starts out like you would imagine any binge drinking frat party, minus the skanky hoes and keg stands, and ends up hours later with NR stomping off like an elephant to his room and slamming the door behind him b/c of something Mitch said or did to light the fuse to his timebomb.
I've said this before, NR is a genuinely nice person, but I think due to his arrested development and inability to connect with the real world, I'm over him. I'm so sick of his creepy nature and his addiction to mac 'n cheese. About a month or so ago he had a breakdown with Mitch and confessed to him that he was deciding to move back to Georgia...
****Excuse me while I do my happy dance!!!***
and he was actually apologizing because he felt that he was leaving us hanging and felt bad to spring this on us... little did he know that we have been looking for one bedroom apts in Waiks for months!!! But he doesn't need to know that... So as things have turned out, Mitch, Levi and I got our apt in Waiks and now NR is not sure if he's going to move back to Georgia b/c he can't get his job back and so I don't know if he was hoping to live with us again (who knows why he would even want to) but he sure pitched a fit when we told him we were looking at apts the other day. Crazy I tell ya!
But enough of him... our new apt is in the heart of Waikiki and is a studio! It's alot smaller than I wanted, but I like it! It's right next to Food Pantry which is awesome because Beard Papa's is in Food Pantry and they have bomb cream puffs! It's a couple of blocks away from my job so I can walk to work without having to worry about leaving an hour before and having to find parking and using up all my gas! Gas is $4.33 over here and going up every day! So I won't have to worry about any car issues and we can walk to wherever we wanna go and I won't have to worry about DUI's for once... and I think that this is just what we need to eleviate some unnecessary stress. One thing that the apt doesn't have that I've never been without is a bathtub! I take at least one bath a day so I don't know how I'll live without one, but I'm sure I'll manage. Maybe by the time our lease is up there we'll get a bigger place with a tub, but we'll see how it goes.
***Cut to me shaking like a saltshaker in a dark corner going through tub withdrawal***
So my latest obsession these days is BOOZE CRUISE!!! You go out on a boat and you sail around Waiks/Diamond Head and it's all you can drink!!! And you might see sea turtles, dolphins and flying fish!!! I've been on two cruises so far and I've seen sea turtles and dolphins, but haven't seen the flying fish yet... but yeah, you drink as much as you want and it's super relaxing and the best part is that it's only $25!!! The first time I went, I went with my besties Liz and Michelle and then I went again this past Tuesday with Liz and Mitch and it's so much fun! My justification for going every chance I get is that I can't afford to not go! I finally got to meet Mitch's friend from way back in the day when they both lived in Colorado, Josh, but I met him AFTER the cruise so I was a bit drunk and done so maybe it wasn't the best first impression and I know it's lame to use being drunk as an excuse for anything, but it's all I got! Love you Josh!
What's next... I still haven't gotten my car back from the shop since my accident... well, I did get it yesterday, but it's still making a funny whistling sound so we had to take it back today so I'm still in my rental which is a gas guzzling whore, but hopefully I'll get my baby back soon.
Work has been going okay. Nothing too exciting, but we did have about 40,000 kids in town for a soccer tournament so that was cool, but they left this week so things are back to normal I guess. As always, management is insane as ever and more and more ppl have quit, but I'm not complaining because that just means bigger sections and more shifts for me! I'm seeing dolla signs! Ok not really.
The fourth of July is right around the corner and Nina and Haley were supposed to be coming, but it got postponed so maybe they'll be here in September. I think they should come for Christmas time, but I guess that's not too realistic! he he I really wanna spend Christmas at the beach, opening my presents and sipping on a Lava Flow! Mitch will be working all day from 8am-midnight at Bayfest so I'm sure I'll be spending some time down there on the fourth, but otherwise I don't know what I'm doing. Probably end up on a booze cruise! (if i'm lucky)
So that's my "massive update" for the moment... I leave you with this vid I found on youtube of everyone's favorite cokewhore... Lindsay Lesbohan!!!

So I decided to make this blog into an entertainment blog while still keeping it ALL ABOUT ME! So here's my first entertainment post!
So first up I wanted to start with my latest obsession on my wishl list!
I present you with the i2 Segway!!! How hot is that? The i2 runs on electricity and you just plug it in the wall when you're not using it and has a pretty good battery runtime so it's definitely something for me to dream about! Now, honestly, I can't picture myself flying all around Waikiki on one of these, but maybe once we move down to Waiks because Mitch will be selling his car and using mine, so who knows! Also, it is handicapable so there's no way to fall off and it's legal to use it on sidewalks! I wonder if you can get a DUI on one of these? Badass!
Next up, Audrina Patridge (from The Hills) made her film debut in the straight to DVD film, Into the Blue 2: The Reef, which will be released in about a year! The reason why I bring you this info isn't because I'm a super fan of Audrina, (Unless you're talking about the recent feud b/w her and Lauren Condrad... in this case... GO TEAM AUDRINA! LC is such a lez and LO is so her top) but more so because they filmed here in Oahu! They recently shot a 2 day scene right on Waikiki Beach! And one of my friends here, Dominique, and her hubby were extras in the film! Hopefully we'll be able to spot her in the movie when it comes out!
Also filmed recently in Waikiki was Heather Locklear for her new movie Flirting With Forty and Heather actually came into eat at P.F. Changs in Waikiki! Unfortunately I wasn't working that day, but it's still cool to have celebs come in! (Apparently Sharon Stone came in that same week... where was I?!)
Also starring in the film w/ Locklear is the often shirtless Robert Buckley (from LIPSTICK JUNGLE) and the main reason why I'll be watching this movie! But Heather is looking pretty good too... so kudos to cougars!
And last of local news, Mariah Carey and Nick Canon are staying at the Kahala Resort right here in Oahu while she films the music video for her third single, I'll Be Loving You Long Time" off her album E=MC2. MC also makes a cameo in the new Adam Sandler movie ZOHAN and plays an exaggerated version of herself and is said to do an impressive job! MC will be spending some down time here while her and Canon extend their honeymoon! I was hoping that I would see them out and about in Waiks, but I'm guessing that since they're on their honeymoon, the only place they'll be is their hotel room. Guess I'll put my stalker equipment away for the time being. Make them babies MC!

Jessica Simpson has taken a turn in her music "career" (if you can call it that) and has turned to country music as a last effort before giving up! And surprisingly, it's not half bad! I actually love her new song "Come On Over" and her voice does well with Country music! I was apprehensive at giving it a listen because I thought that she would sound very poser-ish and not believable, but I guess if she can do it for Dukes of Hazzard she can do it to pay the bills! Download her song and give it a try!
Jessica Simpson - Come On Over
And lastly, I leave you with the new music video from Latina group, Prima J! The "Rock Star" duo released their new video for their song "Corazon ~You're Not Alone~" and I absolutely love this song! They also did a Spanish remake of Alicia Keys' song "No One" and they did a really good job! If I find the mp3 for their songs I'll post them up here!

I wish the real world would just stop hasslin' me....
I have made the decision to start the month of June off on a positive note, despite all of the bags of poop life has thrown at me in the past weeks.
For starters, our apt in Atlanta has sent me to the creditors bureau because they claim that we didn't pay our last months rent AND have charged us $400 for miscellaneous fees that they claim we owe. As far as the rent issue, I think I would have noticed if I had an extra $600 in my bank unaccounted for. So settling that issue is easy enough because my bank actually has a copy of the check I paid with so just print that up and send it to them, but seriously... who does that? Who sends someone to the creditors bureau saying they didn't pay their rent when it's all but TOO OBVIOUS that it was paid? Only happens to me.
Changs has also proven to be alot of unnecessary drama, but what would Changs be like without the drama? The way that they treat their employees is so insane! If Joseph Stalin were ever a restaurant manager, he would most likely find most satisfaction working at Changs. The managers analyze every little thing you do and actually rank all of the servers NOT based on performance, but based on how much they can suck up. Now don't get me wrong, I can suck with the best of them, but it's a whole 'nother world in there.
Every week we have a different class for training. They're all "optional" but if you don't go to them, the next week your whole schedule will be horrible. The only reason they say they're optional is so they can get away with not allowing you to clock in for them. If you release your shifts, they'll mess with your schedule. They monitor all of your sales based on liquor/wine/bottled water and if you don't hit a certain amount of sales, they'll give you horrible sections. There's just so many ways that they can mess with you.
So far my schedule and my sections have stayed consistent, but who knows when I'm going to crush the eggshells they expect me to be walking on. Like I said, I can suck up to them while still maintaining dignity, but once they start treating me like a child, I will kick and scream and will probably end up needing a diaper. Ok... except for that last part, but you get the picture.
Next up, random bills have accrued and everything seems to attack all at once. Isn't that how it always works? Things could be better, but they could definitely be alot worse too. Mitch recently became a manager and along with that great promotion comes a great paycut. Particularly because Mitch is amazing at sales and being a manager, the options for anything but salary are slim. I just have to keep thinking that in order for him to take a step forward, he has to take a step back, but in the end it will all be worth it.
Fortunately, it doesn't take much to make me happy and little things more than make up for said bags of poop. *Shakes fist in air at life!!!*
Some of the things that bring me much happiness recently are:

-Mariah Carey's E=MC2! This album is amazing. Every song is a "smash hit!" AND MC is gonna be in Hawaii to shoot her new music video for "I'll Be Loving You Long Time" but I'm not sure if she's gonna be in Oahu or not... *Crosses Fingers*

-Sex and the City! The sex, the city, the puns... what more could I ask for? Maybe Cosmos... next time!
-The Pussycat Doll's new song "When I Grow Up" I've watched this video so many times and the song stays in constant rotation 24/7! So Hot! I swear, these Pussycats are like trannies on crack! Fierce. Tranny. Hot. Mess.
So those are just three of the many little things that make this boy happy and as for the bigger things in life that constantly keep me on cloud 9 are, of course, Mitch, Levi & Hawaii! I really need to start taking more pictures and now that I've learned how to post pictures, I'll be putting up alot more and making this bleek blog a little more festive. Please believe me!

First update since becoming 26...
I'm still not quite sure how I feel about turning 26, but I guess it doesn't really matter, yeah? Can't change the inevitable so might as well think positively. And as my girl Mariah Carey a.k.a. "I Can't Believe She Married That Fool" would say... I'm eternally 12 so this year is def gonna be so O.O.C.!
The birthday festivities started out with Mitch, Sarita & I at Smorgy's (where every birthday should begin) and even though Mitch & I vowed to come to Smorgy's at least once a month... we never wake up in time for the breakfast buffet, but what better way to start your birthday out than eating yourself into a coma? Exactly. Mitch gets SO mad at me everytime we go there because I always want to feed the birds, but they're not the harmless kind of birds that will take what you give them, bow and bother someone else... they're the kind of birds with fire in their eyes and a hunger to kill. So I innocently toss one piece of food to them and instantly dozens of birds flock towards you and give you the stink eye for more! As if that's not bad enough, Mitch shoots me a stink eye AND swats me on the nose with a rolled up newspaper!
So by the time we left Smorgy's, we're looking like some starved, bloated children from a poverty stricken country (Ironic, yeah?) and what do we do? Hit the beach! And according to the newest America's Next Top Model winner, Whitney, being plus sized is in and throwing up is out. I almost feel like the title "plus size model" is an oxymoron... but I'm getting sidetracked now... where was I? Oh yeah, we took our over indulged selves to the beach and tanned like Brazilians and not like... well, we tanned like Brazilians and I'll leave it at that...
After the beach, Sarita went to take her final and Mitch & I went to Changs for apps and drinks! I don't know if it was from eating so much earlier or from being in the sun so long, but the apps this time around were horrible! We tried the Edamame and the Poke because I haven't tried either yet and have been dying to... and then we also ordered the Crispy Green Beans! The Edamame had an unnecessary amount of garlic on it and the Poke was still frozen in the middle! And the Crispy Green Beans were good for a minute, but we decided to stick with what we knew with the drinks! I didn't realize it when I was ordering my drinks, but my first drinks being 26 was a Bloody Mary and a Dirty Martini! How grandpa am I?! After I realized how dusty I was being, I quickly ordered a Mai Tai (which used to be the drink I started out with when I was 25, but those days are ghost....) and got tore up from the floor up! It's funny because nobody that I work with has really met Mitch, but have heard so much about him so they finally got to meet him and, of course, they all love him and true to Mitch form, he knows within the first minute if he likes them or not! But that's another story for another time...
After Changs we headed home and as soon as I got home I fell asleep (Grandpas have to have their afternoon nap, you know) and woke up hours later with a hangover! So this is what old feels like?
Next day we woke up bright and early and headed down to Waikiki to grab something to eat and I really wanted to try the Well Bento because I am an avid reader on Yelp.com and everyone always left such good reviews about how healthy it is and how it's so scrumptious! I read about it when we first moved here in February so I have really been anticipating it! I ordered the grilled salmon w/ a side of Tempeh (fermented soy beans similar to tofu) and Mitch ordered the grilled chicken.
I really liked the concept because everything is served with macaroni salad (made w/o mayo), tahini gravy over brown rice and an assortment of vegetables including gobo, which I loved, but maybe only because I used to have it as a kid because Mitch didn't like it. Overall, the food was good, but it wasn't anything worth anticipating over and I don't think I'll be going back... not because the food wasn't good enough because it definitely was good, but just because there's so many good places to eat... but I would give the Well Bento 5 out of 10 stars, which, just like the place itself, isn't bad, but isn't that good.
After lunch we walked around Waikiki for a bit and ended up at The Big Kahuna! It has these huge fishbowls that you can get for $20 and they are so good! Of course I don't ever drink it because I will be instantly comafied so Mitch had it all to himself because he, fittingly, drinks like a fish!

My new drink is a Lava Flow! They are so amazing! Bubba Gumps & Mai Tais have THE best lava flows and everytime I get them somewhere else I am disappointed.... I think they put crack in theirs... say crack again! Crack!
Mitch had made plans for us to go to a friend of a friend's graduation party @ Chikos and that didn't start till around 9pm so we wanted to stay in the area so what do we do for the next couple of hours? Drink, Shop and Karaoke! 88 Tees is my new favorite store and will go there religiously from now on! There are only 3 existing locations and I can easily spend hours rummaging through their designs!
I had been wanting to try GS STUDIOS karaoke for a while since it looks really nice so we headed over there and got a room and it's exactly like the karaoke rooms in Japan! Even the remote control was in Japanese so it took a minute to figure it out, but they have so many Japanese songs and recent ones too! They didn't have too many English songs, which I thought was a bit odd, but I loved it!
For dinner we decided to go to Tiki's, which I've also never been to, and my girl Michelle met us up there and we had a really good time! They had a live band there and out of nowhere this haole girl gets in the front and starts hula dancing! She was actually pretty good... funny part was that she's from Texas! I guess that's how they get down over there...
So we left Tiki's and before heading over to Chikos we picked up a bottle of Malibu so that just in case it was lame we would be too drunk to know. So we get there and met up w/ friends and overall it wasn't bad, but just like Well Bento, it wasn't good. (ok... last reference to that place... promise! I was just really disappointed!) At one point I even said really loudly "I AM SOOO BORED!" and I didn't even mean to! And I'm not even sure if the ppl we were with heard, but there was definitely an awkward pause for half a second. So we dipped out of Chikos pretty early, but after drinking all day I was ready to go.
Saturday rolled around and Mitch had to work half a day so I had some time to recuperate... we debated whether we should go out at all, but finally decided to leave around 10pm and dragged NR with us (Your eyes do not deceive you! I did just refer to NR w/o the usual slits wrists comments that usually accompany his name, but that's another story for another time... back to my birthday betch) and we headed to Hula's w/ a bottle of Jaeger in tow! We met up w/ Sy there and after finishing the Jaeger we met up w/ my girl Liz who came out to celebrate! She's a super cool chick so I was glad she came! Between Liz feeding me birthday shots and the Jaeger and NR giving me a chocolate cake shot and several other drinks... I was pretty tore up and loving it! After a while we met up with some of Mitch's ppls and ended up walking to Fusion... Walking+Drunk=HotMess. Despite the trannies that we were we made it to the club and everything there was a bit fuzzy, but left there after a while and headed home only after I got me my new love interest... SPAM MUSUBI!!! I can eat those all day...
So that pretty much sums up my 26th birthday... started out eating and ended it eating and I would have it no other way! I definitely was apprehensive to celebrate being that I don't have the usual crew to get into things with, but I had a really great time thanks to Mitch and future crew! Cheers Betches!

When is Cinco de Mayo?
Today was a milestone in my experience in living in Hawaii!
I was at work last night and one of the girls I work with was telling me that she goes to the Paul Mitchell school and that I should go see her friend at Blanc Salon to get my hair cut because he does such a good job and if not there, then I should check out CHOPS and since Mitch & I were going to get our hair cuts I thought I would talk to him about those two places. Not 30 minutes later, I was serving this couple who were uber cool and really nice, but after they had cashed out with me the asian girl w/ blonde hair (a combination I absolutely love as long as it's done right, in this case, perfection) pulled me aside and told me to come talk to her once I got a second. She had a stern tone in her voice and I thought that I was about to get a lashing, but apparently she worked @ CHOPS and wanted to cut my hair! Immediately I told her about what a coincidence it was that Mitch & I were going to get our hair cut the next day and that one of my coworkers had just told me about CHOPS! And the blonde beauty, Jennie, told me to bring Mitch in with me whenever we were available! So this morning when I woke up Mitch & I made appointments for our haircuts! When I say Mitch & I made the appointments I really mean that I begged Mitch to call in because for whatever reason I hate talking on the phone for any reason because I always think that Mitch will make such a better first impression.
Albeit fashionably late, we headed to Ala Moana and got to CHOPS and it was an absolutely refreshing experience compared to the last experience we had at a salon. When we first got to Hawaii we researched salons here and came upon Paul Brown Salon and it had such a good reputation so we went there to get our hair cut and I came out w/ what I can only describe as a fancy bowl cut and Mitch came out w/ a decent haircut and with highlights that already included roots! That was nice of that lady to save him the trouble of waiting weeks to reveal the inevitable roots that signal the need of an immediate touch up. Long story short... Paul Brown Salon out - CHOPS in.
Jennie did such a good job on the both of us and restored my faith in Hawaiian salons! I will definitely be going back to her on a regular basis and anyone that reads this blog (needs to comment asap) should go visit Jennie D @ CHOPS from now on!
After CHOPS, we went to Ala Moana mall and ended up @ Bubba Gumps, but to my disappointment, a guy that I had served @ Changs wasn't there! I told him if I ever went Bubba's that I would ask for him and apparently he doesn't work there anymore. He looked just like Tailor Made from I Love New York 2! So we got a different server and she was cool. I got my long awaited LAVA FLOW and cajun shrimp bucket! and Mitch got his assortment of mojitos and margaritas! And not long after we got our food, Sarita a.k.a. BFF (who is my first friend that I made here in Hawaii!!!) joined us and I've been trying to get her to get a job at a restaurant w/ a good bar so that I can plague her on a daily basis and get drunk, but I don't think she thought Bubba's was her destiny OR my future daily watering hole.
We wanted to do shots, but apparently they don't really have signature shots there so unwilling to think of our own shots, we paid out there and went next door to Mai Tais, but weren't feeling the vibe too much so we left there and went to Island Burgers? Island Grill? Island Paradise? Wherever it was we got there and against everyone else's wishes I ordered Jaeger Bombs! Sarita being the punk princess didn't take hers and instead attempted to sip it as if it was a fine, aged wine so I, not having that foolishness, downed her Jaeger Bomb and had another Lava Flow, but this one wasn't nearly as good and tasted like a yogurt disaster. Don't get me wrong, I finished it, but it was indeed a disaster.
And not long after we took those shots, Melody joined us! Melody is a girl that was in my group during training at Changs and we bonded during the wine tasting that went severely wrong! Just imagine 300 buzzed employees running around an empty restaurant in Waikiki on the last night of training after a week full of repetitious, mind numbing brainwashing! It was madness and is probably some form of ironic foreshadowing of how I will get fired based on how I love to take my vodka filled "water bottle" to work to get me through the night!
After a couple of drinks and rounds of shots @ Island Whatever we went back to Mai Tais. Somehow the lame vibe we got earlier was overshadowed by the drunk vibe we had achieved in between locations and now Mai Tais was somewhat durable, despite the overabundance of fuglies everywhere. So being creatures of imagination, we all had Mai Tais @ Mai Tais and soon enough, Melody had to bounce to pick up her ol' ball and chains, the love of her life, from work.
And after we finished our drinks (and I finished Melody's drink) we walked Sarita to her moped and as I'm trying to hotwire it, I hear Sarita and Mitch talking about how he wants to get me a moped and if he does get me one, I must wear a helmet at all times. Helmet hair is not hot, ya feel me?
All in all, I had a great day and cannot wait till tomorrow which is the annual SPAM JAM in Waikiki! From what I understand, they have spam in every size, shape, form, style and prepared in every way imaginable! I hope that I don't overdose on spam... the temptation is beyond my will power!
This is the first time that Mitch & I went out with friends (that I just KNEW i would never make) and I had so much fun! I gotta open Sunday morning @ Changs and then next week is Cinco de Mayo!!! Speaking of CdM... is it common knowledge that CdM is on the 5th of May? I don't see how that's common knowledge... I mean, I do see because it translates to that, but I really believe that not everyone knows when CdM is. Somebody get my back on this one! Somebody? Anybody?! Hello? Is this thing on???

This Is Why I'm Hot.
I have started a new diet which consists of absolutely no sugar, vegetable oils or saturated fats. Not because I'm trying to lose weight, but I have self diagnosed myself with hormonal acne. I know, so hot. I have been on this "diet" for about 3 days and already there is a huge improvement and I don't feel like a disgusting monstrosity like I have for the past 3 months.
Being that I work in the restaurant industry, I'm exposed and forced to work with so many people and having to serve people all day really doesn't help my insecurities at all. I'm so obsessed with clear skin that sometimes I will be talking to someone and just wonder HOW this fugly biotch has clear skin and I don't. That's who I've become. I should be on MTV True Life: I HATE HORMONALLY BALANCED PEOPLE.
So back to the diet... let me preface this by saying that I was desperate. I was researching acne all day all night and still coming up with nothing. I was so close to going on a 3 day apple diet, which consists of a nightly enema and putting canola oil on your skin. Research it... it almost makes sense. The idea is that apples soak up toxins in your body and the enemas get rid of the toxins. Not sure what the canola oil does, but like I said... DESPERATE.
So on the day I decided to start this sensible diet, I was sitting in bed waiting for the apples to magically appear in my kitchen. Maybe an apple tree would grow on my lanai for me. I was almost having an outer body experience where I could see myself getting ready and going to the store and picking everything up, preparing it and eating it in bed, but like I said... ALMOST. Reality check, I was still sitting in bed starving.
I decided to give up before I started. I like apples, but for 3 days? And you can't even get creative with it and make apple pies or apple butter... and believe me, watching the food network doesn't help. So I decided to research more, even though I feel like I'm feeding my addiction to obsess. So then I came upon this one online book that promised clear skin, good nutrition and vast riches! Okay, so maybe not the last part, but 2 out of 3 isn't bad.
So I bought this online book for $40 (Don't Judge Me) and it basically says don't eat sugar, oils or fats. It also lists the supplements that I need to take and a few other preventative actions to take. So I've been following these guidelines and I've seen some miraculous results, but they don't come without a price. I've come to the realization that sugars, oils and fats are the 3 components that make food scrumptious. Add sugar and deep fry it. That's the recipe to greatness. (Damn, I sound like NR) I can't even have fruits because they have natural sugars in them and so basically I eat alot of vegetables and drink alot of water. And when I get too hungry to convince myself it's worth it, I draw pictures of McDonalds and eat the paper. (Once again, don't judge me)
I must say the only relief I've had with this whole ordeal is being able to come home to someone who loves me no matter how I look. And no matter how neurotic I was about everything and how ridiculous he thought I was for spending my money on crazy things, he never made me feel worse about the whole situation... only better. It must be love!
Once I feel I'm completely hormonally balanced, I'll cheat here and there, but in the long run, it's good to improve my overall diet. And whenever I'm feeling really dangerous, I'll even treat myself to some soda pop!
So I have this to ask you.... which would you choose? BEING FAT AND OBESE WITH AMAZING SKIN? OR HOT AND FRESH WITH UNCOVERABLE ACNE? Consider this... being fat is more common than distracting acne and plus-size modeling is rapidly becoming more and more acceptable in the modeling industry, which will eventually overflow into common fat folks becoming more and more accepted in everyday life. And even though obesity kills and acne never killed anyone, you will never see acne on the catwalk. Something to think about...

Chang-A-Lang!
So work has been going pretty well. All of the people I work with are cool and the managers are nice. It's weird because sometimes you'll be working w/ people you like, but if you're not on the same floor, you won't see them at all!
We don't really get scheduled for alot of shifts because there are SO many employees, but I'm guessing that'll change as people get fired or quit. So far the money hasn't been that great which has been a bit surprising to me. I keep thinking about it and everything is in my favor. Good restaurant... check. Great location... check. Good clientele and high prices... check. So why aren't I making money? My sales as of late have been over $500 each night, but I have yet to break a bill yet.
I'm guessing that tipout being 5% total is really hurting me, but that's not something that I can do anything about so I will just try to get higher sales. Not to mention we don't have any sidework here so that in itself is a dream come true! Also, the clientele here is great, but with all the tourists from countries that don't tip... good service doesn't always = good tip. We get ALOT of Japanese tourists and they tend to be the worst tippers because in Japan, you don't tip at all... so I have started utilizing my Japanese (Broken as it may be) and it has actually started to pay off! Japanese tourists have actually become my best tippers!
One more factor in my favor is that we get paid hourly here! The only paycheck I used to get said ''THIS IS NOT A CHECK'' and that was just depressing. The only paycheck I got so far was for training so I'm not sure how my paychecks from now on will go, but hopefully I will be able to pay rent through my paychecks and not have to worry about it! That would be so sweet!
Morning shifts aren't that great because people are always out and about doing touristy activities and even though you'll get a huge section, you probably won't get sat too much. I think that I will try working one soon just to see how they are. And if nothing else, I'll rack up some hours which will help out in the long run.
I definitely have to start saving up for when people come visit and I need to start going places so I'll know the good places to go so I can be a great host, but I'm so broke from not working for so long that I'm still digging myself out of financial destitution so that'll have to wait.
So all in all.... I'll just have to get used to how things are out here, but I definitely love Hawaii and everything it has to offer! Even the traffic here I don't mind as much, but I'm sure that will wear off soon, but by end of July we'll be living in Waikiki, NR-free, and it'll be mad sick yo!
PS - If you leave a comment, let me know who you are! Otherwise I will just automatically assume that you're Sarah Jessica Parker.

110 days left!
So it's Friday night and I'm not at work... I should be at work, but due to a managerial mishap I found out that I wasn't working tonight as I was stuck in traffic on the way there... so needless to say I was stuck in traffic all afternoon and one turn became three turns and before I knew it I was lost in China town! It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was because NR works in China Town and the area he works is full of homeless bums and dark alleys.. but the area I was in was just like you would think China Town would be like! It was kinda cool and maybe I'll actually go get some dim sum there one day.
Mitch is out at dinner right now with his friend from Colorado, Josh, and his girlfriend. I would have gone, but I'll wait till next round after the catching up convos have died down. NR is such a douche. He gets so jealous and territorial when Mitch has any friends other than himself.
Funny story... so NR is such a leech. Everytime Mitch introduces NR to any of his friends NR will get their number and plague them with texts and myspace requests and immediately put them in his top 8. How pathetic. Who does that? So Mitch asked NR why he hadn't made any friends here in Hawaii since we've been here for over 2 months and he screeches "BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T INTRODUCED ME TO JOSH!" Geesh... whattaleech.
Since my last rant on NR, things have only gone downhill. Mitch will hang out with him and then the next day Mitch won't and NR will go stark mad!!! He is an emotional rollercoaster in severe need of therapy.
After a night of drinks, Mitch and I came home and NR had bought a tv stand, but instead of contributing to the apartment and use it in the living room where the tv is... he puts it in his dumpster of a room. SO... we put the couch that he has been soiling with his beastly self (think Jabba the Hut on a nice, new, clean, leather couch) in our room and boy did he have a fit! Not that he could say anything, but not much goes on in that fat head of his so in his world, things don't have to make sense. So to "get back at us" he put the tv in his room! That is quite possibly the nicest thing he could have done for us! Because he is always watching tv in the living room and polluting the air with his nightly mac and cheese and beer combo that we can't go into the kitchen w/o him glaring at us w/ his glazed over eyes. So now we can peacefully go into the kitchen without NR's constant stench, right? You would think... for someone who doesn't need to be eating... HE'S ALWAYS IN THE KITCHEN! dammit... what did I do to deserve?
And he has the nerve to say that we never clean the kitchen. How about we rarely use the kitchen! I used to clean ALL the time and I would get so annoyed by how he never cleaned up his messes, but now I don't care. I don't clean and I don't give a shit. How hard is it to put dishes in the dishwasher and wipe down the counter? He's in the kitchen deep frying anything he can get his hooves on... it's the least he can do. So over it.
And to make things worse he walks around with his shirt off! He reminds me of those starving children in poverty stricken areas of Africa because his gut is so bloated! How ironic... they're bloated due to poverty... he's bloated due to gluttony. How twisted...
Only 101 days left and the countdown to NR's nonexistence has started!
